A dog loose on a back seat slides on corners, sheds into the upholstery and cannot see out of the window. This raised faux-leather bed gives them a defined space with sides to lean against, a view, and a leash clip that stops them climbing into the front while you are driving.

When you arrive, it lifts out by the reinforced handle and becomes a carrier. Set it down indoors and it is their bed for the weekend. One thing to pack instead of three.

Will it fit your dog?

This is the extra-large size, measuring 120 × 42 × 45 cm (approx. 47 × 16.5 × 17.5 in). It suits dogs up to around 110 cm in body length — comfortably a labrador, a golden retriever or a large crossbreed, and roomy enough for two smaller dogs travelling together.

Measure your back seat first. At 120 cm wide it is designed to span a full bench seat. Measure the width between your rear doors before ordering, and email us if you are close to the limit.

How do I fit it in the car?

It sits across the rear bench seat and secures in place, then the internal leash clips to your dog's harness. Measure the width between your rear doors first — it is 120 cm across.

Is the leash a substitute for a proper restraint?

It keeps your dog in their space and out of the front of the car. Always clip it to a body harness, never to a collar, and check your local rules on transporting animals.

How do I clean it?

Wipe the faux leather down with a damp cloth — that handles mud, hair and spills. Hand wash only; do not put it in a washing machine or tumble dryer.

Can two dogs share it?

At 120 cm wide, two small or medium dogs that already get on will travel comfortably side by side.

Can we use it as a normal bed at home?

Yes, and most people do. It is the same bed indoors or in the car, which is exactly why dogs settle in it so quickly on a trip.
